Fear and Loathing

Silk tops that remind me of Johnny Depp in Fear and Loating in Las Vegas are a must buy for me because I mean, obviously. When the boo and I went to Thailand last Winter I found the latest and greatest to add to my 'Fear and Loathing' collection at a literal hole in the wall shop next to an awesomely sketchy grocery store, which makes me love this piece even more. It's been a major go-to this summer as I love pairing it with my fave floral bikini top that I'm overly obsessed with. Gotta love patterns on patterns on patternzzzz. Peep that ish:

Weekend Getaway

Sometimes you just need to get away for the weekend. Just pack that ish up, get in your car, and bizounce. I used to throw all my necessary belongings into my high school soccer bag. It's yellow and blue with a Wolverine on it and my boyfriend always wants to use it. I can't blame him, really. It's one of those bags where people that went to small private schools or are from another country see them and say,  No way! You Americans really have those?! Do you have letterman jackets too? And red cups you drink beer out of at parties???

Why yes, yes we do. I got asked these questions a lot when I studied abroad in Australia and the red cup questions always made me giggle and proud. Fuck YEAH we have red cups. And kegs. And assemblies with cheerleaders doing cheerleader things. They were definitely picturing the American Pie type party scene, and it wasn't exactly off par....
Okay but back to the subject of the day--weekend getaways. Important to obtain the perfect weekend getaway is the perfect weekend getaway bag.  While I got some good miles off the high school gym bag, I knew I had to move on. I found the winner a couple years ago in a now shut down boutique in Seattle. The woman in the store was definitely trying to sell me on it and yelled across the way,  That bag is my favorite! It's made out of the interior of a 1976 Pinto!!

You had all the money in my bank account at 1976 Pinto, lady. Which today I realize was probably total bullshit. Either that or I'm using a bag that hella peep's asses used to sit on, which just doesn't sound that sweet anymore...  Let's just assume she meant it was inspired by the interior of a 1976 Pinto, shall we? Peep that ish:

Big Phat Greek Weddings

It's a little something we call wedding season, my friends. Shit gets super real during wedding season, and even more so for those grads who were in a sorority or fraternity. I met a hilariously awesome chick at a bachelorette party last summer and we decided to be friends, but our hangout sessions couldn't begin until after summertime. I appreciated her honesty, but my ego needed an explanation. What, are you booked up all summer? I asked. Pretty much, yep! I'm going to eight weddings. I had ten last summer, too..

Say WHAAA?

Dayummm Gina, I think I would collapse in exhaustion. I also think I would be very poor. Not that I don't luhh me a wedding. Really, I do! I get down with wedding season, no doubt. But eight? Ten? Point being, wedding season for greek grads is a level of impressive that deserves some loving recognition, so shout out to my greek peeps! What up what uuup! Get down on those dance floors. I'd also like to remind you that there's still time to find that one and only beautiful dress, or five, or ten...

Like the perfect pair of jeans, legit party dresses are nearly nonexistent so I have a rule that when I find a good one, I buy it. Whether I have a wedding a year away, or don't even have one on the calendar yet, that baby will eventually be used and abused in the coming summer and I'll be super jazzed to see it glistening in my closet ready for business. My most recent bedazzled purchase was unsurprisingly found at Free People, and it's definitely the place to find some goodies for the pique of this year's wedding season. This specific piece makes me feel like an elfy-tinkerbell which is something I strive to achieve on a regular basis, so it made the typically difficult task of clicking Confirm Payment excitingly seamless.
